Six people selected for 2025 concrete laying trade program in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A program helping at-risk youth build the foundation for a bright future is in its fourth year.

You have to apply to be part of it, which teaches young adults the skills to lay concrete. The eight people in the 2024 class found permanent employment since completing the program. The program’s founder said more than a dozen people have landed union contracts thanks to this course.
