ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A substitute teacher hit a student at the Maplewood-Richmond Heights Middle School on Friday, according to a written statement from the Maplewood Police Department. The teacher was removed promptly, after school officials alerted a school resource officer who was on campus.
After an investigation, officers with the Maplewood Police Department made an arrest and charges will be pursued, the statement said.
“In partnership with the Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District, the safety and well-being of students remain our top priority,” the statement said. “We are working closely with the school district to ensure a safe learning environment for all.”…
