Wichita invites public input on new transportation plan

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization plan that sets priorities for transportation improvements throughout the Wichita area is now open for public review and comment.

The plan aims to identify future transportation policies, strategies, and projects, including changes to highways, city streets, public transit, and infrastructure for bicycling, and walking and running.

A virtual public meeting to review the plan is set for March 12, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom, and an open house is set for March 26, 4-6 p.m., at the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce, 350 W Douglas Ave.
