Overnight smash-and-grabs in Jefferson County may be related

DENVER (KDVR) — Wheat Ridge police are investigating two early morning smash-and-grab burglaries that may be related.

Police said both crimes happened within a 15-minute period, just after 2 a.m., on Friday.

The first happened at a liquor store on West 44th Avenue. Surveillance video shows the suspects backing up a vehicle and smashing through the front glass.

A store employee doesn’t believe any merchandise was stolen. There is no ATM at that location…
