WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Dozens of police and emergency crews taped off a crime scene, and a man was sent to the hospital after a shooting in Wilkes-Barre Saturday afternoon.
The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department says they were called to the area of Schiel’s Family Market on Hanover Street at 2:10 p.m. for a reported aggravated assault stemming from an argument between one man and one woman.
When police arrived, they found the man on Hanover Street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
