ST. LOUIS — Minutes after a masked gunman robbed a man taking out the trash two blocks away, St. Louis police officers responded to a report of a person flashing a weapon, and, at first, they didn’t find anything in the 4600 block of South Spring Avenue around 5:45 p.m. Friday, a Saturday morning police statement said.
But moments later, a 21-year-old woman arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to her knee. Officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s First District met with the woman, who a 23-year-old man accompanied.
The 23-year-old man told police he asked the woman to drive him to S. Spring Ave. and Itaska Street so that he could buy marijuana from someone he spoke with on social media…
