SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Springfield Police Department investigators say a pedestrian has died after being struck by a car near Mercy Hospital.
According to Springfield Police, a car hit a pedestrian crossing National Ave. on Saturday night. Police said an elderly person with a walker was crossing the street near Mercy’s emergency room entrance when they were hit by a car.
The pedestrian was rushed into the nearby emergency room. Police said there was no sign that the driver was impaired, and they cooperated with law enforcement…
