The Great Tennessee Air Show Returns with the Blue Angels

Smyrna, TN – The skies above Smyrna Airport will roar to life as The Great Tennessee Air Show takes place on June 7-8, 2025. Aviation enthusiasts are in for a treat, with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels headlining this much-anticipated event. Known for their breathtaking aerial maneuvers and synchronized formations, the Blue Angels embody precision, power, and teamwork.

The Smyrna community holds a special bond with the Blue Angels. This connection was forever marked by the tragic loss of Capt. Jeff Kuss, who perished in an F/A-18 jet crash near the Sam Davis Plantation on June 3, 2016. Honoring his legacy, an F/A-18 jet was donated to the town of Smyrna and now stands as a solemn tribute to Capt. Kuss and the Blue Angels’ enduring spirit.

Beyond the dazzling airborne performances, the event promises a deep dive into aviation history and innovation. Guests will have the opportunity to explore a range of static displays featuring military and civilian aircraft, helicopters, and possibly even ground support equipment.
