Residents across South Florida witnessed a spectacular, albeit concerning, light show in the sky last week, prompting numerous calls to local law enforcement. The event, initially reported by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office dispatch, was confirmed to be debris from a SpaceX rocket launch.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, a SpaceX rocket carrying a Starlink satellite, launched from Texas, experienced a breakup during launch.
