First Warn Forecast: Spring feel this afternoon continues into next week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – High temperatures hit the mid 60s with tons of sunshine and light winds. Get out and enjoy this nice warm weather, especially as sunset will occur at 7:20 PM.

If you like what you see for Sunday, you will LOVE the next several days. High temperatures SOAR into the mid 70s on Monday – which would make it the warmest day we’ve seen yet this year. It will be breezy with winds gusting to 30 mph throughout the day. We will have warm, dry and breezy conditions on Monday and that will result in a Fire Weather Watch for the afternoon and evening. Any fires that start will quickly spread so outdoor burning is not recommended.

A cold front will swing through our area by Tuesday afternoon, but high temperatures still remain in the mid 60s with partly cloudy skies. The 70s quickly return for Wednesday and will continue through Friday.

However, changes arrive on Friday as a strong low-pressure system enters the region. First Warns are in place for Friday and Saturday for rain, storms, potential for strong storms and windy conditions will all be possible. Friday afternoon spotty to scattered rain and thunderstorm will move into the area, some of which may be strong to severe. At this time there is the potential for isolated strong to severe storms with all hazards possible for our eastern half of our counties. We are still several days out and we will likely see changes with what comes on Friday, but we are First Warning you for what we see now. Rain and storm activity will continue through the night and linger into Saturday morning…
