Firefighters battle house fire in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Crews worked to extinguish a fire at a home in Southeast D.C. on Sunday afternoon.

In a post on X just before 1:55 p.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said firefighters responded to a fire at a single-family home in the 4300 block of Texas Ave. SE.

There, they found an outside air conditioning unit on fire, extending to the home’s second floor.
