Western Washington Braces for Wet and Windy Week as Storm Systems Roll In

Seattle, WA – A series of storm systems will impact Western Washington in the coming days, bringing rain, mountain snow, and gusty winds, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle.

On Sunday, a weak atmospheric river will shift south, keeping the Olympic Peninsula wet while much of the interior remains dry and cloudy. By afternoon, a cold front will push through, creating a breezy and rainy evening, with a brief convergence zone expected over Snohomish and north King counties.

Snowfall is expected at Mount Baker and Stevens Pass, with a Winter Weather Advisory issued for elevations above 3,500 feet. More storm systems will move in Tuesday and Friday, with a strong low-pressure system targeting Vancouver Island late Tuesday night.
