AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Expect a mix of weather changes this week across the panhandles. Some low clouds and fog may hang around early, but once the sun comes up, they should clear. Temperatures will warm into the 60s where there’s little to no snow, while areas with deeper snowpack may stay in the 50s.
By Monday, southwest winds will pick up, bringing warmer temperatures into the 70s for most areas. A cold front moves through part of the region on Tuesday, but it wont cool things down much, with highs still reaching the 60s. Another weak front on Wednesday wont change temperatures much either.
The big story comes Friday, when strong southwest and west winds kick up ahead of a powerful storm system in Kansas.
