North Dakota and Minnesota: High Wind Watch in Effect Monday, Gusts Up to 60 MPH

Grand Forks, ND – A strong spring storm system will bring high winds and potential travel disruptions to parts of North Dakota and Minnesota starting Monday. Winds could reach 60 mph, prompting a High Wind Watch for much of the region, including East Grand Forks and Fargo.

According to the National Weather Service, northwest winds between 30 and 40 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, will develop Monday afternoon and continue through the evening. Unsecured objects could be blown around, and travel may become hazardous, especially for high-profile vehicles. Some power outages are also possible.

After the winds die down, cooler air will settle in, with blustery conditions lingering into Tuesday. Temperatures will drop to the low 30s at night, with a chance of light snow…
