2 injured in house fire in Northeast, DC

WASHINGTON — DC Fire and EMS are working to extinguish a fire in Northeast Sunday evening.

Officials were called to the 2300 block of G St before 8:30 p.m. When fire crews arrived they found smoke coming from the first floor of a 2-story row home. Officials also say, a woman was found outside on the front porch.

First responders took the woman to a hospital with serious injuries, her current condition is unknown. A second resident was removed from the home and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Crews battled flames for nearly 30 minutes before gaining control and extinguishing the fire…
