Lewiston Woman Arrested for DUI After Multiple Hit-and-Run Crashes

LEWISTON, ID – On March 8, 2025, at approximately 6:41 p.m., police were dispatched to 300 Thain Road in Lewiston, in response to a traffic collision.

According to Lewiston Police, while en route, an officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the oncoming lane of Thain Road, moving away from the crash scene. The vehicle had significant front-end damage and was trailing smoke and sparks. It briefly returned to the correct lane before crossing over the center line again, striking a curb in the 100 block of Thain Road. As the officer attempted a traffic stop, the driver appeared to press the accelerator to the floor, causing the tires to spin and generate a large cloud of smoke.

Following an investigation, officers determined that Kim Woods, 62, of Lewiston, had rear-ended another vehicle in the 300 block of Thain Road and fled the scene. She then collided with a second vehicle in the oncoming lanes of the 200 block before continuing to flee. Her vehicle ultimately became disabled after crashing into a curb in the 100 block of Thain Road…
