It wasn’t the typical police chase in Western North Carolina last month and the suspect managed to get away.
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office says 30 year old, Christopher Forney of Marion led them on a chase on February 7th, while he was on a moped. A deputy tried to execute a traffic stop, Forney refused and eventually ran on foot through the woods.
He was able to get away but was arrested February 18th on an unrelated charge. Forney was one of two suspects charged with making a bomb threat towards the McDowell County Courthouse…
