SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — The San Diego County Board of Supervisors is set to vote on Tuesday on whether to overturn a recently implemented sanctuary policy that limits cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities.
The policy, which was passed in a 3-1 vote by the County Board of Supervisors a few months ago, is now under scrutiny for potentially conflicting with state law and the sheriff’s ability to address serious crimes committed by non-citizens.
