WORCESTER, Mass. – A train derailed in a Worcester rail yard Sunday afternoon, sending six rail cars off the tracks with several striking a nearby industrial building.
Providence and Worcester Railroad said there were no injuries, the cars were not leaking and there was no impact or threat to the public. The incident occurred near Cambridge Street.
“Emergency responders are on the scene with some of our employees working on a plan to rerail the cars,” a spokesperson said. “An investigation into the incident is also underway. We ask everyone to stay clear of the scene so that responders can work as efficiently as possible.”…
