LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock man, Michael Mayfield, 43, was found dead in Amarillo after a fight in the 300 block of North Carolina Street, according to authorities.

The Amarillo Police Department said officers initially responded to the residence for a medical call on Sunday around 2:30 p.m. When police arrived, they learned there had been a fight, and one person died. Police said Mayfield died at the scene.
