A DRIVER who was hit with an eye-watering $155 parking ticket later discovered it was a fake – and helped uncover a bizarre new scam.
Arnetria Coleman from Dallas, Texas , recently visited the neighboring city of Houston, but her trip was tarnished by a hefty fine.
Speaking to ABC13 , Coleman revealed that she had rented a car through the Turo app – which allows you to rent directly from a car’s owner instead of using a rental company.
But upon returning home, she received a peculiar message claiming the car had picked up a parking ticket while she’d used it, and she would need to pay the fine…
