COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – An auto parts company with locations across the country is closing more than 700 stores ahead of its initiative to help the business and its “restructuring plan.”
Advance Auto Parts announced in November 2024 a restructuring plan resulting in the closure of about 500 stores, 200 independent locations, and four distribution centers by mid-2025. The closures come as the company plans to improve its “profitability and growth potential and streamline its operations.”

The company noted its continued plans to close several stores in its recent fourth quarter and full-year results report for 2024.
With more than 200 stores across Ohio, 17 storefronts in the state have already closed, including a Columbus location at 3201 S. High St. As of now, there’s no word on if additional stores will close. Several other stores remain open in Ohio, including 18 Columbus locations…
