NWS Upgrades Risk Level for Friday’s Storm That Will Hit IN, KY, IL, & TN

When I checked my weather app and saw we’d be enjoying temps in the 70s all week, I could hardly contain my excitement! I’m definitely not a fan of the cold and snow, and after this winter, Mother Nature really threw a lot of it our way.

But of course, it seems like beautiful weather around here is always followed by some crazy weather, and this week is no exception. Chief Meteorologist Wayne Hart from Eyewitness News 25 mentioned that the chance for severe weather has bumped up to a concerning level.

Severe storm threat continues for Friday night across #tristatewx with a SLIGHT (level 2 of 5) risk for most while a higher ENHANCED (level 3 of 5) risk has been added for areas to our west-southwest. Timing has slowed just a bit with the line of storms expected to move in/develop from the west Friday evening then end by daybreak Saturday morning. -Wayne Hart

Joe says that it’s going to be almost 80 degrees on Friday! But will dip back down to 69 on Saturday. Still great temps if you ask me – if it wasn’t for those pesky storms. Those affected by this system should prepare for severe thunderstorms and possibly even tornadoes…
