5 arrested on suspicion of DUI during checkpoint: Bakersfield PD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Over 600 vehicles were screened and five drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol during a DUI checkpoint Saturday night.

Officials with the Bakersfield Police Department said 695 vehicles were screened at the checkpoint in the 300 block of East Truxtun.

During the checkpoint, 24 were cited for driving while unlicensed, eight were cited with a suspended license and 34 vehicles were seized…
