Santa Rosa police investigate recent shootings into property

( KRON ) — The Santa Rosa Police Department is investigating two recent shootings in which property was damaged by gunfire, authorities announced Monday.

On Friday at 10:49 p.m., police received reports of multiple gunshots heard in the area of the 2100 block of West Steele Lane. Arriving officers located a number of vehicles that had bullet holes. Several spent shell casings were found on the ground, SRPD said.

Four miles south on the 1000 block of Bellevue Avenue, an officer was dispatched on Sunday morning to the report of an apparent shooting. A resident in the area told police they discovered a bullet hole in the front exterior of their apartment.

After further investigation, the officer found a bullet hole in an interior living room wall and bullet fragments on the floor in the adjacent bathroom. The gunshot’s estimated trajectory pointed to an origin to the north of the apartment unit, police said…
