WHITE CASTLE — A high school student has been arrested for stabbing another student at White Castle High School on Monday, Iberville Parish. According to Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi, 17-year-old Cur’eon Thomas was taken into custody for the incident.
The school was briefly placed on lockdown following the stabbing, school officials confirmed. The student, whose age was not disclosed, was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital, according to a letter sent to parents. Officials said they are in close contact with the student’s family.
