SCOTT, La. ( KLFY ) — A fire sprinkler system may have prevented a fire in Scott from causing severe damage.
On Monday, fire officials responded to a commercial fire alarm at 5511 Cameron Street, located at Scott Oaks Plaza. Upon arrival, officials said they observed water flowing from the sprinkler system at the Acadiana Jiu Jitsu business in the Piggly Wiggly Shopping Center.
Officials said when they entered the premises they discovered a fire in a restroom, which the sprinkler system had extinguished and, to minimize water damage, firefighters shut off the water supply to the sprinkler system…
