Marcus Covaci Charged In PA Credit Card Skimming Scheme

A multi-county credit card skimming operation led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man after devices were found at Walmarts in Carlisle and Camp Hill, police announced on Tuesday, March 11. Additional skimming devices have also been discovered at an ATM in Harrisburg, a Sheetz in York County, and a Royal Farms store in Delaware County.

Marcus Sorin Covaci was identified as one of two suspects accused of installing skimmer devices on registers, according to Carlisle and Lower Allen Township police.

The first device was discovered at the Walmart on 60 Noble Blvd. in Carlisle on Monday, Nov. 13.
