The NYPD is currently on the hunt for a woman who is believed to have dropped off her deceased 3-year-old son at SUNY Downstate Hospital in Brooklyn. The boy, identified as Kyng Davis, was left at the hospital around noon on Sunday, exhibiting signs of physical trauma, and was later pronounced dead, as ABC7NY reported.
Detectives are particularly interested in speaking with the child’s mother, a 24-year-old woman, and her 38-year-old boyfriend, both of who were seen driving away from the scene. Kyng’s godmother, Sabrina Johnson, expressed her deep sorrow to ABC7NY, “I’m just so sad that it took only three years of him being on the world because he could have had so much more, he could have been so much more, when I say when you see his face, the cutest little dude you ever wanted to see.” The white sedan they left in reportedly had Pennsylvania license plates that did not match the vehicle.
Further investigations are being aided by surveillance footage as police work to track down the suspects. According to a report by AMNewYork, family members have been trying unsuccessfully to reach the mother, who they say has developmental challenges and might be under the influence of her older boyfriend. “She has the mindset, maybe if she were a 14-year-old. I feel like she’s being influenced by that man,” Kyng’s great-aunt, Hope Green, told AMNewYork…
