Gaylord Pacific Resort ends job fair registration due to ‘overwhelming demand’

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Registration for the second weekend of the Gaylord Pacific Resort job fair has been closed early due to “overwhelming demand,” a spokesperson for the soon-to-open hotel and convention center confirmed in an email to FOX 5/KUSI.

The halting of registration comes after thousands of job-seekers hoping to land one of the 800 available positions attended the event’s first weekend at Southwestern College — demand that led the event organizers to end it hours before it was scheduled to for two days in a row.

Per Gaylord Hotels spokesperson Peter Borum, only people who applied and registered before the resort closed sign-ups will be able to attend this weekend’s job fair for interviews.
