LAFAYETTE, La. — The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office reported a man is under arrest, charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer, after what started as an investigation into a stalking complaint.
The suspect, Edwin Silence, 52, was arrested on Monday in the 200 block of Sunflower Drive.
Throughout the investigation, deputies learned Silence made statements to at least one victim identifying himself as an out-of-state law enforcement officer, displaying a badge, and wearing a uniform adorned with an agency logo…
