Jefferson County man sentenced after pleading guilty in over 200 thefts

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A man from Jefferson County was sentenced to up to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to more than 200 charges related to break-ins and thefts.

On Monday, Gage Luttman, 37, pleaded guilty to about 240 felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from thefts in mostly southwest city neighborhoods between August 2023 and March 2024. As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed 11 counts.

Charges alleged Luttman broke into garages, basements, storage units and businesses to steal items, which included power tools, guns, jewelry, cars and sporting equipment. He was recorded multiple times on home surveillance during the crimes. Stolen items were also reportedly found at his home when officers served a search warrant…
