Allentown taproom serving up new brick oven pizzas, sandwiches, shareables and more

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A popular Lehigh Valley chef has returned to his roots with a new tasty concept in Allentown’s West End.

Tre’s Kitchen at the West End Taproom opened Feb. 28 at 2215 W. Tilghman St.

Chef Tim Howells, who grew up across the street from the West End Taproom, is partnering with the taproom’s ownership team to bring a bevy of new, hand-crafted food selections, including shareables such as bacon cheddar beer dip and cheesy garlic bread, brick oven pizzas such as the “Pickle Dickle” and “Notorious P.I.G.” and main options such as a “Tre’s West End Burger” and “Tilghman Street Clucker” crispy chicken sandwich.

“I’m definitely excited to be back in the West End,” Howells told 69 News. “It’s like coming home.”…
