BURLINGTON, N.C. — The Burlington Fire Department is urging residents to avoid outdoor burning after a garage and woods fire broke out on Anthony Road Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded just after 3 p.m. to find a detached garage and nearby woods engulfed in flames. Crews worked quickly and brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
No one was inside the garage and no injuries were reported, but the fire caused an estimated $50,000 in property damage…
