ARKLATEX – The Storm Prediction Center has maintained a SLIGHT risk (level 2 out of 5) for severe storms overnight across portions of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing very large hail and severe wind gusts are our primary hazards.
The risk of severe storms through tonight is due to a shortwave from California that was responsible for rainfall in southern California.
Forecast Timing
Storms have moved quickly ahead of a cold front and are expected to head east as a complex of storms overnight and into Thursday.
