ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque’s largest tennis complex just got a whole lot brighter. The City of Albuquerque’s Parks and Recreation Department recently finished installing new, energy efficient LED lighting at the Jerry Cline Tennis Facility near Louisiana Blvd. and I-40.

The lighting now brings the courts in compliance with U.S. Tennis Association standards. Jerry Cline is the city’s busiest spot for tennis, and the Parks and Recreation Department said the LEDs are great for night matches. “You just feel a bit better when you are out there playing. It’s got less shadow. Your eyes are less strained and your play is enhanced,” said Deputy Director David Flores, Parks and Recreation Department.
The lights come after the city resurfaced eight of the park’s 18 courts late last year…
