DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — A 15-year-old boy has been officially charged after an explosive device found in his backpack prompted an evacuation of Ponderosa High School on March 4.
The teen has been charged with:
- Attempted murder after deliberation
- Attempted first-degree assault with extreme indifference
- Manufacture of explosive or incendiary device
- Possession of explosive or incendiary device
- Interference with school – credible threat
He also has two sentence enhancers that include an aggravated juvenile offender and a violent juvenile offender.
