ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — PrimoHoagies has announced the opening date for its new store at The Rise | Midtown Square in Albany. The shop, located at 563 New Scotland Avenue, will be celebrating its grand opening on Thursday, March 20 at 10 a.m. after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m.

To celebrate the grand opening, the store will be giving out free Primo Size Hoagies to the first 100 customers in line on Thursday. The rest of the day, customers who enroll in the rewards program can get Primo Size Hoagies for $6.99.
This is the second PrimoHoagies shop to open in the Capital Region. The first store opened in the Plaza 7 Commons in Latham in February 2024. Both are franchise locations owned by Latham residents Rocky and Krish Patel, who also own Philly Bar & Lounge in Latham.

In May, Jankow Companies announced the retail tenants for the new The Rise | Midtown Square apartment building. In addition to PrimoHoagies, other businesses included Starbucks, the U.S. Postal Service, Bloom Boutique Bar & Eatery, Bombshell Hair & Beauty Studio, and Frank Gallo & Son Florist.
The PrimoHoagies menu features cold and hot hoagies, cheesesteaks, wraps, vegetarian options, sides, chips, drinks, cookies, desserts, and more. The eatery also offers catering. You can view the menu on the PrimoHoagies website .
