Get Ready for “MobLand,” a New Crime Drama on Paramount+
A star-studded cast headlines Paramount+’s latest offering, “MobLand,” a gritty crime drama set in London’s underworld. The series features Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan, with Guy Ritchie at the helm as producer.
Mirren and Brosnan portray Maeve and Conrad Harrigan, the heads of a powerful crime family. Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, their “fixer,” navigating the murky waters of their illicit dealings.
“MobLand” centers on a bloody feud between the Harrigans and the Stevensons, two rival crime syndicates vying for control. Caught in the crosshairs is Harry, whose loyalty is tested as the conflict escalates. The series promises a classic tale of power struggles, betrayal, and the enduring bonds of family.
The supporting cast includes notable British actors such as Paddy Considine (“Tyrannosaur,” “House of the Dragon”) as the Harrigan heir, Lara Pulver (“Sherlock”) as his wife, Joanne Froggatt (“Downton Abbey”) as Harry’s wife, and Geoff Bell (“Kingsman: The Secret Service”) as the leader of the rival Stevenson gang.
“MobLand” marks a reunion for Hardy and Ritchie, who previously collaborated on the 2008 crime thriller “Rock ‘N’ Rolla.”
The series premiered on Paramount+ on March 30th and aired new episodes weekly until June 1st.
