Cedar Lake renovation project continues

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Progress is being made on the Cedar Lake project, an effort by the city to get more people outdoors.

For months now parts of the Cedar Lake’s trail has been closed off as crews work to build the flood levy on the western side. Renovations will feature several new amenities to get people outside including an ADA compliant kayaking pier.

”The goal is to make this accessible to all ages and abilities in our community,” Jennifer Pratt, director of community development, said, ”This is in the heart of our community, it’s passed by over 100,000 cars each day from the interstate where people can see it, seeing kayaks out on that will help change the way people think about it.”…
