RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Pediatricians at Renown, as well as Northern Nevada Public Health, are urging parents to vaccinate their children against measles.
As of Wednesday, more than 250 cases have been reported in Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York City, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Washington.
Health officials say the first symptoms of measles include a cough, runny nose, fever and red eyes. Children may also develop Koplik’s spots, a series of small red spots with blue centers, inside the mouth prior to the start of the rash…
