Price Chopper/Market 32 Launches Double Up Food Bucks Program

Price Chopper/Market 32 is launching the “Double Up Food Bucks NY” program today (March 14) in partnership with the Field and Fork Network. This initiative aims to help Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) eligible customers in Schenectady County access fresh fruits and vegetables. The program matches qualifying purchases dollar-for-dollar, up to $20 per day, through Catalina coupon rewards, which can be used on future shopping trips for fresh produce.

The program, which has been successful in other states since its inception in Michigan in 2009, not only benefits SNAP participants but also supports local farmers and communities. As noted by a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, the program encourages the purchase of fresh produce, helping build healthy habits over time.

The Double Up Food Bucks program is currently operational in 38 counties across New York, benefiting over 550 produce vendors and running in 65 grocery stores, 60 farmers markets, and 155 mobile market sites.
