Federal judge gives deadline for 18 agencies to give jobs back to fired Maryland workers

BALTIMORE, Md. (7News) — Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown won his push to temporarily block mass firings of federal probationary employees and to make way for fired workers to get their jobs back.

A federal judge with the U.S. District Court for Maryland issued a temporary restraining order, which orders 18 federal agencies to stop mass layoffs of federal probationary employees and reinstate fired employees by 1 p.m. on Monday, March 17.
