NAVARRO COUNTY, Texas — Two Texas Highway Patrol Troopers were injured early Thursday morning when a pickup truck struck them while they were assisting a disabled vehicle on Interstate Highway 45, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.The incident occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. near the 235-mile marker. The troopers were outside their patrol unit when the pickup truck collided with the vehicle and then hit the troopers. Both officers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the pickup truck was unharmed, stated the department.
