California Woman Wins $1 Million Lottery, Plans to Buy Brother a New Car

CORONA, CA — A woman in Corona recently struck it big, winning $1 million on a California Lottery scratcher, and her first plan is to buy her brother a new car.

J. Garcia often gives her brother $20 to buy lottery tickets, knowing he enjoys playing. Late last year, her brother purchased a ticket at Cardenas Market on Lincoln Avenue and called Garcia, saying, “I think you won.”

Skeptical at first, even after seeing a photo of the winning LOTERIA™ GRANDE ticket, Garcia only believed it after confirming her win at a California Lottery office.
