2 men fishing on frozen Oneida Lake rescued after one falls through the ice

Oneida, N.Y. — Two men who were ice fishing Friday on Oneida Lake were rescued after one of them fell through the melting ice, firefighters said.

Firefighters were called to the lake after it was reported that a man had fallen though the ice about 100 yards from Goose Island around 1:48 p.m., according to Onondaga County 911 dispatchers.
