Grand Rapids Storm Warning: Strong Winds, Hail, and Tornado Risk from 8 PM – 3 AM

Grand Rapids, MI – Strong thunderstorms are expected to impact Michigan tonight, bringing damaging winds, hail, and a potential tornado risk to parts of the state.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Grand Rapids, wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph are forecast throughout the day, with storms potentially producing gusts up to 60 mph between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Sunday. Areas across western and central Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Lansing, are under an elevated severe weather threat.
