A Villager and his wife were injured in a four-car crash at a busy intersection.
The 81-year-old Village of St. Charles man was at the wheel of a white 2017 Toyota Prius at about 1 p.m. Tuesday when he turned from Buena Vista Boulevard to travel westbound on County Road 466A, but had turned into the path of a blue 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by a 27-year-old Lady Lake man who was also westbound on County Road 466A, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The pickup driver could not avoid the collision and struck the Prius before leaving the roadway and hitting a speed limit sign. The Prius was pushed across the median and into the eastbound left-hand turn lane. The Prius crashed into a gray 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by an 81-year-old woman from Greenwich, Conn. and a silver 2023 Ford F-150 pickup driven by a 73-year-old Northville, Mich. man traveling with his 72-year-old wife…
