“Golf ball-sized” hail damages hotel, car dealership in Owensboro

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — As severe weather continues to impact the Tri-State, hail has touched down in several Western Kentucky counties early Saturday morning. Damages include homes, cars and a hotel in Owensboro.

In Daviess County, the hail as big as golf balls were scattered across several neighborhoods.

The hail also caused several damages to homes and vehicles in Owensboro. The Greenfield Inn & Suites on West Parrish Avenue also experienced a handful of hail damage. Photos below show shattered windows, air conditioning units and more.

Champion Ford, Mazda and 54 in Owensboro also suffered “significant” damage to its new and used vehicle inventory early Saturday morning. Officials say its collision center remains fully operational for those who sustained damages to personal vehicles.
