USS Truxtun departs from Naval Station Norfolk for deployment

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The USS Truxtun and a force of nearly 300 sailors departed Saturday from Naval Station Norfolk for deployment.

The ship’s departure comes following months of training, maintenance, and certification events, which ultimately prepared the ship for a multitude of operations. This will enhance the Navy’s ability to detect and counter threats when directed.
